ReMAP in IEEE Engineering Day

In the past 28th of September, ReMAP, represented by the University of Coimbra, was presented in IEEE Engineering Day, in Lisbon.

IEEE Engineering Day is a yearly event promoted by IEEE Portugal aiming to join Academia and Industry to present and discuss relevant topics for the technological community.

This year’s edition – Unfogging Industry 4.0 – was focused on the technological challenges envisioned by the 4th industrial revolution (Industry 4.0) in all its aspects. The panels were composed by Academia and Industry leaders that shared their vision and current work in order to make Industry 4.0 a reality sooner than we expect.

Professor Catarina Silva focused her presentation on describing ReMAP main goals and involved consortium partners, including also an insight on the future of condition-based methods applied to aircraft maintenance and the main challenges including keeping high safety and security standards.

Paulo Rupino Cunha

Assistant Professor of Information Systems with Habilitation and former head of the IS Group at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the University of Coimbra, Portugal. Director of Informatics and Systems Lab of Instituto Pedro Nunes (IPN), a non-profit association for Innovation and Technology Transfer.
